Account & Data Deletion
Last updated: October 18, 2026
This page explains how to delete your account and the data associated with Flix (com.kodmap.filmograph on Google Play, Flix: Movie & TV Tracker on the App Store), a mobile application by Kodmap. It is the deletion request route referenced by our Privacy Policy and by the Google Play Data safety form. You can follow it without installing the app.
1. What Flix stores
- Flix has no account system of its own. Signing in is optional and uses your Trakt account (trakt.tv). Your watch history, watchlist, collection, favorites, ratings, custom lists and comments are synced with and stored by Trakt, under Trakt's own privacy policy — not on Kodmap's servers.
- On your device: the app's local database (watched entries, watchlist, collection, favorites, ratings, liked comments, calendar and widget data), cached movie and TV information, your settings, and the Trakt sign-in token.
- Off your device, tied to random identifiers for your install and never to your name or email: usage analytics and crash reports (Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics), advertising measurement (Meta SDK, AdMob), and your subscription record (RevenueCat). If you allowed tracking on iOS, RevenueCat also records your device's advertising identifiers (IDFA and IDFV).
- If you contacted us through the contact form, the name, email address and message you sent.
2. Delete your account in the app
Open the Account tab and tap “Delete Account”, then confirm. Flix revokes its access to your Trakt account, signs you out, and erases the Flix data stored on your device. It then opens Trakt's account settings, where you can permanently delete the Trakt account itself and everything Trakt holds for it. If your version of the app only shows “Sign out” (older Android versions), sign out, then follow sections 3 and 4 below — the result is the same.
3. Delete your Trakt account and synced data
Because your history, lists and ratings live in your Trakt account, deleting them permanently is done at Trakt. Signed in to Trakt, open the account deletion page below. To only disconnect Flix while keeping your Trakt account, remove Flix from Trakt's connected apps instead.
4. Delete the data on your device
Uninstalling Flix removes its entire local store — the database, cache, settings and the Trakt sign-in token. A new install starts with new random identifiers.
5. Analytics, crash reports and advertising measurement
- Stop collection: turn off the “Share usage data” switch in the app's Settings; it stops Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics and the Meta SDK together. On iOS you can turn tracking off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; on Android you can delete or reset your advertising ID in your device settings.
- Delete what was already sent: send us a request (section 7). Because this data is not linked to your name or email, include something that lets us find your install — the store order number of a Flix Premium purchase is the most reliable. We will delete the matching analytics, crash and subscription records within 30 days and confirm when it is done.
- If you do nothing, analytics and crash data are deleted automatically at the end of the providers' retention periods.
6. Subscriptions
Deleting your account or data does not cancel a Flix Premium subscription, because subscriptions are held by the store. Cancel it in your Apple Account (Settings > your name > Subscriptions) or in Google Play (Play Store > Payments & subscriptions). Your purchase record held by RevenueCat under a random identifier is deleted on request (section 7); Apple and Google keep their own billing records under their own retention rules, which we cannot delete on your behalf, and we may keep transaction records where tax or accounting law requires it.
7. Request deletion from us
To ask us to delete data we hold — contact form messages, or the analytics, crash and subscription records described above — write to kodmapdev@gmail.com with the subject “Flix data deletion”, or use our contact page. We action deletion requests within 30 days and confirm by reply. You do not need to install the app or have an account to make a request.
